BECE Candidate dies After writing his Mathematics Paper

Bad news from Western Region (Takoradi) 

A candidate writing his Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) has died following a short illness. The deceased who’s name was given as Richard Mensah, was a final year student of he Apowa Methodist Junor High School in the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region. School authorities say, he fell unconscious a few minutes before the second paper, Basic Design Technology (BDT).

Reports has it that he had complained of some headache when he got to the examination center but managed to sit for the mathematics paper before the unfortunate event happened.

The coordinators of the exams managed to convey the pupil to the nearest private health facility, Jemima Crentil Hospital in Kwesimintsim, the soul had already left the body.

Richard’s body has been deposited at a private morgue awaiting autopsy.
